The results were clear: cannabis use did not increase sedentary behavior.

In fact, the study revealed that daily cannabis users had a 4% higher chance of engaging in light physical activity compared to non-users. So, instead of picturing cannabis users lounging around all day, imagine them enjoying a hike or stretching out in a yoga class. The stereotype? Completely debunked.

Frequent Cannabis Users Are on the Move

The study also found that frequent cannabis users actually moved more than occasional users. While none of the cannabis groups showed an increase in sedentary behavior, the heavy hitters were out there getting more steps in, whether that meant hiking or some other light exercise.
