Headband Strain
Headband Strain is a classic standby, effective and easy to find almost anywhere. It’s available on both the legal and black markets, but it’s most popular on the West Coast. This strain is a cross of two venerable parents, OG Kush and Sour Diesel.
Headband is named after its famed cerebral effects, as it creates a sensation of pressure across the forehead similar to a headband. Though the strain delivers a strong mix of euphoria and creativity, it’s better used as a rainy-day strain, as it tends to cause a spacey feeling that can hinder daytime tasks. The strongest effects are centered on the body, making it a good choice for chronic pain and anxiety. It can also be used to treat nausea and wasting conditions, as well as mood disorders, muscle spasms, and migraines. It has a smooth, creamy taste with undertones of lemon and diesel.
The initial smell of the cured flowers is tangy and lemony. Underneath these dominant scents is a faint skunkiness, along with some notes of pine. Unlike some other indicas — particularly OGs — Headband produces smoke that is thick but surprisingly smooth. This smoke has a rounded, creamy mouthfeel and tastes citrusy when inhaled. On the exhale, a more diesel, chemical funk is present. The overall taste sensation is of lemon-scented cleaning fluid that hits the user at the front of the palate.

This was a splendid blend of two potent parents. I find OG Kush tends to be very dominant wherever it’s present. While this was true for this Headband as well, the Sour was not totally eclipsed; resulting in a sultry tropical nose. Rich in THC, definitely upwards of 17%. Solid cured, texture is where you want it to be. BLG continues to deliver formidable product for great value. Easily worth up to $180.

Decent strain but not my favourite for some reason even tho I enjoy both parent strains. Definitely more similar to og kush but can recognize the sour d.
